This is the second of the cross-stitch and beading kits that I managed to work up. Old World Santa #2. Finished it JUST in time to snap a photo before giving it as a Christmas present.
I like this one even better with the swirl accents throughout the beard (yes, a bit tedious, but you forget afterwards), and the 3d looping effect of his moustache is fun.
Good inspiration example for working beading into standard cross stitch designs. This highlighting is an extremely effective method for incorpirating the tiny (really, really, really tiny) beads.
