Christmas is Magical
"Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies. ... Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world."
Memory Lane Christmas Decorations
Have you finished your Christmas decorating? Have you started? I've had a good start, it's mostly done, but near the end I was taken away from decorating for things like shopping, wrapping, writing cards, and heaps and heaps of cooking and baking. With family coming this week-end, it's time to finish up those last few boxes.
This year, bendy Santa and Jack Frost are the stars the show. Mum and Dad gifted them to me this year so it's the first time they've adorned one of the trees in my house.
Not the first Christmas for these fellas though - not by a long shot. These adorable Christmas ornaments are a good 50 years old! Take a look at this then and now. That's me admiring our Christmas tree circa 1965. Jack Frost and Santa are just a few years old there. In the photo on the right, they've settled in well to their new home.
Jack Frost can do a bit of a Linda Blair impersonation these days, but other than that, they're hardly the worse for wear. I just love the memory lane visit when the decorations come out.
